Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I live in CT where it has been in the single digits the past week. This warning came on
when I started the car to warm it up. The car was NOT hot.  It's a 2010 Buick Lucerne.  Is
this just a sensor? I see some people actually disconnected the battery and it reset it.  I
really dont have the means to spend alot of money if this is a simple fix.

2013 Buick Enclave and we had the same issue. Car was cold, and the TEMP gauge never moved off the cold, and the error came on " AC OFF / ENGINE HOT" or something like that. I was thinking the car isn't hot. So I am assuming its a sensor
