Can a bad fuel tank pressure sensor cause my 2010 Ford Escape to stall?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I had Oreillieys check the engine code, it came back as a P1450. Prior to
checking it, the car had stalled while driving, that's why I had the engine code
checked. the check engine light came on.

No it wouldn't, and your code is probably a po451...P0451 FORD - Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Range/Performance...Possible causes: Faulty Evaporative Emission System (EVAP) Pressure Sensor, Evaporative Emission System (EVAP) Pressure sensor harness is open or shorted, Evaporative Emission System (EVAP) Pressure sensor circuit poor electrical connection, Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)...An improper voltage signal from EVAP control system pressure sensor is sent to Engine Control Module (ECM). Possible symptoms, Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) P0451 FORD Description; The Evaporative Emission System (EVAP) control system pressure sensor detects pressure in the purge line. The sensor output voltage to the Engine Control Module (ECM) increases as pressure increases. The EVAP control system pressure sensor is not used to control the engine system. It is used only for on board diagnosis.

P1450 usually indicates unable to bleed up fuel tank. Replacing the Evap purge valve located on the front of the engine

Yes it can cause it too stall the fuel tank pressure sensor is evap pressure sensor they are one an the same but your code is not an evap code your problem one of three thing this could be bad the fuel cap could be stuck open or the hose to the evap canister could be the problem
