Need to know the suitable transmission oil for ford
explorer 4.6 l , V8 , 4WD ..Year of manufacturing is
2010. and what is the difference between mercon v
and mercon lv

Ditto for above. I have a 2010 F-150. Read your owners manual. Mine says LV ONLY. Since Ford makes Mercon V, if you could use it, they would indicate it as a reasonable replacement. Personally, I'd recommend using only Motorcraft fluid of the grade specified by Ford. None of the "suitable" stuff.

Thanks for the replies I was confused as the manual shows both fluids . I contacted the service center and they assured the LV ..
