2010 Hyundai Sonata V6 No "check enginen light", OBD II says "catalyst not ready", and "evap not ready", also no errors codes are listed. What it mean?

We cannot get our car to pass inspection because the PCM scanner says that
the catalyst is not ready, and the evape is not ready.  the check engine light is
not on ont the dashboard.  How is the best way to reset this function.  we also
do not get any error codes, and cannot clear this from the obd II reader.

How far must we drive? Concurrently? No stopping? We did the funky little drive pattern offered us by our mechanic, but that did not seem to help. Should we just keep doing the drive reset pattern until it resets?
