i pressed the fuel pump shut off switch unintentionally, is there any negative effects this will cause? does it even do anything if you press it when it is not needed ?

i found the switch and decided it would be a good idea to press it and see what
happens... i am not noticing any adverse effects from pressing it but i am
curious and nervous that if pressed when its not needed, it will harm the fuel
pump system. PLEASE HELP!~ lol

Just make sure when you turn your key to the on position that you can hear the fuel pump prime up or the vehicle just wont start, no biggy, just hit the button again and listen for the pump. The fuel pump shut off is just an electrical switch to cut power to the fuel pump.

2005 Ford Focus - When I start my car it makes a loud vibrating noise, when I put it in reverse it seems to quiet down some. When I press the gas pedal it vibrates the car and is very loud. I have a 2013 Ford focus SE HATCHBACK that has the recalls on the transmission, I took it to the local dealer as we have begun experiencing the shudder and loss of power and the dealer just called stating it is the actuators which of course are not under the recall and said it is going to cost $2,500 and that it may not fix the problems and may have to be brought back of the shudder isn't fixed.
