I am currently considering purchasing a Honda Fit (auto trans, 5-door, slightly used). By slightly used I mean like a 2010 or 2011 model. Any advice on if this is a good choice? My budget would be about $14000 and I'm considering buying within the next six months if my current electrical problems continue.

Its a great car, I love mine. good on gas, climbs hills great for a 4 cylinder, an lots of room, I can fit a sliding glass door inside with all the doors n windows shut. Mine is a 08 with 49000 miles, an I haven't had to do anything to it, but oil, gas n tires in four years.

I live in the mountains of far northern CA and I do have problems with hills. With cruise control on, the little sucker shifts to 3rd on most hills. Wish I had bought the Focus - it has a much bigger engine. Mine is a 2008 Sport. Also, note all the blogs on misfire problems. Honda wants $500 for a new coil pack, plus installation. On the up side, with the back seats completely down, you can move a small apartment in it.
