Why does my a/c smell bad?

Question type: General

i recently noticed a pungent, musky odor
blowing out of my vents ONLY when the air
conditioning is running. It seems to fade
after a few minutes or perhaps my nose
gets used to it. it is NOT the air filter. Not
sure if this is related but I noticed the odor
after I got a transmission fluid drain and
refill at the dealership. why is this and how
do I fix it?! Thanks! 2010 Honda Fit base
model.

could be moisture build up and mildew in there. scottykilmer.com has a vid for cleaning smelly ac, check it out.
