What would cause a water leak in floor board

Asked by Jameslitaker Oct 11, 2020 at 12:38 PM about the 2010 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited

Question type: General

Passenger side rear floor board full of water
. No obvious sign of outside leak. Heavy rain
floor board water.  Not from sunroof nor is
the front floor board wet?

I respectfully disagree . The evaporator is in the passenger FRONT seat area therefore the front seat floor carpet would be wet also . The question states that it is not wet . My guess is a door seal failure IE : door gasket seal or window seal . Bottom of door gasket probably held and the top area leaked causing a flood inside the back floor passenger area.

Me too: Also could be the windshield. Is the car absolutely flat? Are you SURE all sunroof drain holes are clear?
