Transmission drain plug loosened

Asked by Redcat42b Jan 12, 2017 at 05:43 PM about the 2010 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 Subaru Outback. What could cause the transmission drain plug to get loose other than someone getting under the car and using a tool to make it loose.

Nothing, or it was not tight to begin with which I doubt.

I presume that you have a regular mechanic... I would have a talk with this person. It's just NOT REASONABLE that someone just climbed under your car for this...

Sabotage or someone forgot to tighten it the last time it was worked on. I have never seen one loosen up on their own.
