You will probably get mixed opinions but either would be fine. If you use conventional oil I would change oil every 3k miles, 5k with synthetic. You can also use synthetic blend which probably would be my choice.
How much did you pay for this car??? I have a 2010 Limited with the CVT transmission and the 2.5 Four.... Synthetic oil for me... works extremely well..
