2010 Nissan Versa with 31.6k totaled; actual miles for comparables adjusted at .03 per mile
Our Memorial Day trip to Philadelphia was great--
except when the deer jumped the guardrail and
totaled the car on the way home. The adjustor
evaluation through the reputable insurance
company contracted through AutoSource took the
average sales price of four vehicles in the
geographic region. That is what the insurer said
today. Though they used four comparables that had
actual miles of 50k, 77k, 89k, and 92k, and adjusted
for these significant differences at .just 03 a mile,
with no adjustment for condition, resulting in s low
valuation. We were the second owners of the
totaled vehicle in very good condition. We
purchased the vehicle through a reputable dealer
last October with 29k miles and we only put on 2k
miles. Is there a site where I may find actual
comparables with similar mileage? Is the $ .03 per
mile difference a recognized method or technique in
developing a value?
