Two things. If emissions laws in your state require you to have
your vehicle tested each year, the code clear will show up on that
diagnostic, and that equals failure of the emissions test, which
means revocation of your vehicles registration (plates). Second of
all, the light came on for a reason, the OBDII code is a highly
sophisticated diagnostic computer and does not make "mistakes".
I would have the vehicle inspected and if the light comes on a
gain, do not clear it so a reputable mechanic can read the code
and determine the problem. Sometimes ignoring these small
warnings can lead to costly repairs.... especially on a a Dodge
Stratus or Chrysler Sebring. Google Engine Sludge. Best of luck.
