2010 Dodge Journey

Asked by Miura_2257 Feb 20, 2017 at 07:00 PM about the 2010 Dodge Journey SXT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 Dodge Journey SE and my rpm Ramp up to
4-5 whenever I attempt to go 40-45mph the check engine
light is on and I took it to autozone & my code read
P0670/P0870. I took it to the shop that did my oil changes
because I thought they weren't topping off my
transmission fluids. So they told me I needed a new fuse
box, which baffled me cus I'm thinking why can't you just
replace the one fuse instead of an entire box.. idk. So I
picked it up Monday night at 6p by Wednesday the same
thing was happing again so they run another diagnostic in
it tells me I need a new engine computer. Which I'm still
trying to see how this is going to fix something that has to
do with my transmission. So can you give me some
advice on why I now need a engine computer.

I think I would get a second opinion. This is what the codes are... P0670 DODGE - Glow Plug Control Module Circuit Fault...Possible causes; Faulty Glow Plug Control Module (GPCM), GPCM harness is open or shorted, GPCM circuit poor electrical connection, Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)...The Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected a fault on the Glow Plug Control Module (GPCM) control circuit Possible symptoms Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) Lack/Loss of Power The engine may be harder to start Engine hesitation......P0870 DODGE - Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch 'C' Circuit...Possible causes; Faulty Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch 'C', Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch 'C' harness is open or shorted, Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch 'C' circuit poor electrical connection.
