2010 Honda CRV consuming oil

The usual cause is a worn engine. You should make sure the PCV is working properly. How many miles on the engine? What weight oil do you use and how many miles does it take to use 1 quart of oil?
Really good engines use up oil to lubricate the cylinders and rings, and therefore, typically have a longer life span. The questions I ask: how much oil is used in the normal time from oil change to oil change? Is the engine exhaust smoking at any time, like on acceleration? There are lots of variables, but if your engine is running good and there is no smoke or other obvious problems, I would just be sure to keep an eye on the dipstick and keep the oil level full, since there is no reason to ruin a good engine for lack of oil.
