My 2016 crv vibrates like crazy at stop lights.Honda says it's normal nothing they can do. It's a lease and I'm giving it back, not for another one. Thanks Honda!

Let me share the real story behind Honda CRV's actual cause of vibration first and then I will tip you on how to mitigate or compensate the vibration. Honda in order to make its vehicle more fuel efficient made some critical design changes to his engines used prior 2015. They have reduced the rpm of engine so as to burn less fuel. Although sounds a quick solution to make vehicle fuel efficient but it also created the problem related to vibration which has almost become a pandemic and no more an epidemic by any standards. In order to address the annoying vibration/shaking, Honda has increased the air intake volume. The suction of extra air into the combustion chamber compensates the vibration by helping it to dampen. Now there is fix for it but it too comes with a price. Since volume of air is a major piece in reducing the vehicle vibration, so by keeping your air filter clean, this vibration issue can be substantially reduced (95 to 98%). Two more quick ADVICES. Maintain clean engine oil and opt for premium gas.

With CRV 2010. There can be many reasons. Vibration dampers over the time loses their cushioning properties. Rubber pads on which engine sits have their own limited life span. Actually over the time they stiffen up and with that rather than absorbing vibration they directly transmit vibration to the vehicle body.

Engines vibrate more has to do with Natural Vibration. Usually at idling speed, the vibration of engine matches with vibration of the mother nature. When that happens, the intensity of vibration amplifies.
