I had bad alternator

My alternator started smoking so got a new
alternator put on and a new battery in and still
when I start driving my battery light comes on can
anyone help me

You and me both. It works somewhat better using a PC but still get the same little note or it just refuses to post anything. Anyway onto the question. As this has a computer controlled charging system any little thing can upset it, so make absolutely sure the the battery cables and all the connections are clean and tight, but before you disconnect main power are sure you hookup the memory saver tool or you could compromise the computers programming then you will have problems. If you didn’t find any problems with the wiring or connections than the next step is finding a good independent shop that knows how to do a full scan on the charging system and have them check it out. Don’t be surprised if it need a new computer. Welcome to the world of Jeep. I will never own another Jeep.

You have a major electrical problem and you need a technician , Look for any obvious wiring problems

First thing you have to realize is it’s a Jeep so don’t expect much. I would suggest selling / trading for a more reliable vehicle. It could catch fire.
