Anyone know what this could be?

Asked by Guru991Q9M Oct 11, 2020 at 12:26 PM about the 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello!! So I was driving the other day and my car
just stopped accelerating and it started shaking and
the engine light and battery light popped up so I
pulled over and my steering wheel locked up and I
had to get it towed. I have gotten it to drive fine
once for a couple minutes just going through my
neighborhood at 25 mph but the rpm were reading
so high to barely be going. Plugged in a reader
thing like autozone has and it threw no codes....
please help!!!

it almost sounds transmission related, if your engine is over revving and the car is not moving.
