2010 3.3l Dodge Grand Caravan. No Start

Asked by Guru9ZRXK6 Dec 15, 2020 at 04:15 PM about the 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Van has 145K kilometres (90K miles) on it. I sometimes can get it started for 1-
2 sec.  Checked spark, seems ok.  Key on static fuel pressure = 60 lbs.  There
was lots of gas in oil.  No engine codes.  I pulled the plugs and they were all
evenly black.  When cranking can smell gas.  Cranking speed is normal.  Can
hear small popping noise in intake.  Any suggestions?

My thought is your running rich. Maybe a fuel injector leaking? With a fuel pressure gage, turn on the key, let pressure build, turn off the key, some makes and models, the pressure should hold for a bit. If it drops like a rock, check for fuel leak. Also, a problem with coolant temp sensor may cause it to run rich. After you fix it, you need to change oil and filter as many times as it takes to get rid of the gas. Just my opinion.
