Question type: General

Can I put an all season 215 / 65R16 tire on a 2010 Grand Caravan?

I bought it used. It came with a 265R17. The manual says it can be used with a 225/65R16. My winter tires is actually 225/65R16. My sister is disposing of her 2005 grand Caravan. I was thinking of getting her all-season tires that are 215/65R16. But I guess they are too skinny already at 215mm for a 2010.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate it. Now, one more question. Can I put the 225/65R17 on her 2005?

I was also thinking about that. And if it would hit the fender when turning. I guess, if it's just to drive back to the house where it will sit until the day the junk yard tow truck comes, I guess, it will be ok. Thank you very much Ed92626. I really appreciate the answers.

One more question. If I have to replace that 215/65R16, can I put a 225 on that rim?

Thank you very much again. Take care.

Oh, in the end, it won't do. The distance between the bolts of the 2005 rim and the 2010 rims have a difference of half an inch. It's a good thing I remembered to measure it last. I would have been surprised come season-changing time.
