Shifter got stuck in park backing up the hill and when I stopped. Then it came
out of park and now I can shift the vehicle without using the brake, and when I
turn the car off I cannot get the key out.

what can you do when your gear shift is registering that it is in reverse when it actually positioned in park? I just experienced this and had to turn the car off or else it would have keep moving backward. Now i am not able to turn the car back on without it being in the park position.
