Check the wire that comes off the battery and goes right to the firewall. Make sure the in-line fuse holder is tight. Also check the ground from the battery to the frame. I've replaced 3-4 of those wires because the crimped end came loose from the wire. If that's not your problem then it could be the new battery. It does happen from time to time especially with cheap Autozone n Walmart batteries.
i just have the same problem with my 2010 tahoe , how did you solved yours?
Did you check everything I told mahergrm78?
Ok so can you get it started with jumper cables? Or its just dead, dead?
It just dead, I changed the ignition switch and new battery but nothing , I will double checked what you want me to check earlier once I get off.
You changed the ignition switch? Did you have the key reprogrammed. The ground wire off of the battery is a good place to start. Check and see if the crimped end is loose on the wire not just the bolt to the frame.
I didn't change the whole set but just the switch not the lock itself. I will check the ground asap. Hate this car already . Break my bank and this is what I got. Thanks I will keep you in touch.
My Tahoe is doing same thing I think my ex unplugged something what do I look for

My 07' Tahoe is doing the same thing. Finally got it to a parts store when it wouldn't start up, It was a PO573 brake switch/cruise control error. To get it start up, I have to pump the brake twice to get it to restart. This is after a day of having the car at the dealership and them not being able to detect any problems. Now we know what the problem is,.
My daughter has a 2010 Tahoe and it had the NO POWER AT ALL issue. There is a fuse on the positive terminal that is bolted in place. I removed it and tested if for continuity, It failed. I went to auto Zone and purchased the same fuse for $5.00. It corrected the issue.

My 2009 tahoe is having some strange issues. at first i thought it was the passkey security system. but after removal of it i had the same problem about a month later. i get in put the key in and everything goes dead. the dash has nothing responding i got out and tried to lock it and the horn was barley audible and the door locks barley enguaged. I then replaced the battery and the issue was corrected. so i thought. the same issue is happening again. im lost any help?
My 1999 Tahoe same issue it clicks but it won't starts and then it turns on when I let it sit and tried again and no power at all not clicking or anything what should I do?
Hi how are you I'm having the same problem with mines I put a transmission in it and that's it now can't get nothing
my stepson crossed the jumper cables on out 2005 suburban. now its completely dead. I can hook cables up to the auxiliary post near the engine and it will jump. as soon as you turn it off it is completely dead again.
To Koconnor78: With the key on, do a voltage drop test on the positive and then negative battery cables when it has no power. If you"re losing more than 0.5 volts, then replace battery cables.
I have no power to my Chevy Tahoe so I try to give it a jump and Sparks flew so I figured I had the negative and positive backwards but I did not and now I have absolutely no power what should I check

Anyone ever figure anything out? My 2010 Tahoe ramdomly doesn’t crank sometimes and everything in truck dies(lights, radio, etc) sometimes it will eventually crank but today we had to take battery cables off for about 10 minutes and after putting them back it cranked right up? Battery and alternator tested they are fine!

Seems no response back as to what problem ended up being . Have a 2011 Silverado and it will Radom radio go off and all gauges stop but all warning lights go on . When you turn truck off then nearly nothing lights up on dash but it will start 3-5 time then goes to a no start no noise situation . Checked fuses , battery terminals all look good . Pulled every fuse out to look at them. Next day truck will start . Sometimes it won’t . At a loss and not finding any posts with problem fixed results !
Problem11sil Exact same problem I’m having! What did you find out? Recently I had new lifters put in at a shop. Have also had to get a key remade. I’m thinking one of them is going to be it.
Problem11sil I have this issue in my 2011 Tahoe. I’ve had to disconnect the positive cable as many as 15 times in one day(basically every time I got out somewhere like a store) and reconnect after a minute to find that it fires right up. My radio cut off every minute or so yesterday and then as soon as the transmission tried to upshift it would lose power (did it maybe 30 times in 30 seconds) before I could pull over, disconnect, reconnect, and fire back up. I’m checking the ECM today. From what I’ve found this can resolve the issue but I’ll have to get one from another salvage yard as I don’t have the right number on hand. Will get back to you after I’ve done this.
Same issues here happened 2wice. All of the issues reported above ( crazy posessed guages and warning lights ) were solved by replacing the neg wire harness. Now 6 months later no power as described. No lights, No horn, etc... Pos continuity all over the place. Replacing Pos wire harness now. We see how it does. Good luck....
i have a 2007 Tahoe that one day out of the blue it totally stopped doing anything we have check the battery, starter, fuses, ignition switch, control modal, only things left is the wireing it self & the computer. we can get it to try to turn over by making a connection at the fuse but still wont turn over.. we think that there is a disconnect between the computer and the ignition since the fuel pump is also not engaging but then again from the ingnition nothing is engaging
It’s a loose ground simple fix but can be hard to locate.
Had to same problem with my 2010 silverado 1500. Changed the battery, still no crank. Found out it was a corroded 2 amp fuse under the hood. I just took my test light and started checking all the fuses.
I have a 2007 suburban. It’s dead. No dash lights, won’t turn over, won’t crank nothing. We had the battery charged and tested at autozone. We have tested the fuses. All of them. We are completely stumped

2009 Tahoe all of the above issues. Door locks trigering on there own, loss of power, cluster going crazy. Would happen then I would have no power for about 10 minutes. then be fine for weeks. happened again but total loss of all electric. I put a jumper cable from neg to the block ground and truck fired right up. The cause is the neg battery cable going bad. Changed it and problem has been fixed. Clean all 4 grounds, Battery, block, body and frame. Frame is under the drivers door and the frame ground from the battery is located on the passenger front body mount behind the bumper. I relocated that one to the frame right behind the front right tire for easier location. good luck to all.
