dodge charger '08 vs. '10 tail lights

I have a black '10 Charger R/T w/ Perf. Pkg. I'm looking to get aftermarket tail lights. Problem is the '08 tail lights are much nicer than the '10 in aftermarket choices.

Question is aside from the top stem on the back being about 2 inches off is there any other problems with installing '08 tail lights on a '10?

If not any suggestions on how to mark the car with the stem that doesn't line up so that I can drill a new fitment hole?

To my untrained eye, they looked the same. Perhaps a person has already altered a pair and took some pictures.
