2005 ford focus. Lower alternator bolt and the nut on the stud came off ok. Can't get the top one to break loose, and now it is mangled to all heck. Any suggestions?

the stud comes off if look carefully the stud head has a star shape there is a socket that fits there and you can remove the alternator.

Thanks I looked at your reply too late, but finally got the whole stud out. Is the nut integral to it? Looking at removing the alternator the rest of the way, I am guessing I will have to take off the engine side motor mounts and the one hooking the engine/transmission to the whole thing and somehow jack up the engine/transmission and take it out from below. Am I correct in this or is there a certain way?

I have a 2013 Ford focus SE HATCHBACK that has the recalls on the transmission, I took it to the local dealer as we have begun experiencing the shudder and loss of power and the dealer just called stating it is the actuators which of course are not under the recall and said it is going to cost $2,500 and that it may not fix the problems and may have to be brought back of the shudder isn't fixed. 2005 Ford Focus - When I start my car it makes a loud vibrating noise, when I put it in reverse it seems to quiet down some. When I press the gas pedal it vibrates the car and is very loud.
