Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just had AT light alert while on freeway.  Stuck in what sounds like 3rd gear,
got home and now at mechanic.  Car is 7 years old, has about 130k miles.  It
has run very well.  Only problems were doors always freezing shut.  Checked
with OBD port analyzer and two solenoid warnings.  Mechanic suggesting
control module needs to be replaced.   Anyone heard of this happening?

AT light on my mazda5 came on and clunks when i put it in reverse. Manual mode doesn't read 1st,2nd,3rd etc but shifts fine down the road. Going to check codes tomorrow.

i have a 2010 mazda 5 with similar issue, AT light popped up and also solenoids went bad. I replaced the solenoids and the control panel of AT and now the car runs like new.
