How much should it cost to replace the hood of a mini cooper

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

a low speed impact, the hood is pushed in a little at the front, perhaps fixable by dent-removal, but would like to make the hood good as new asis the wife's car :)  Hood replacement cost estimates please.  Thanks Ray

Thank you LX30215 . I have found primed [unpainted] new hoods starting at $350 on the web -- then read that oem hoods are often thinner metal, etc., etc. It is the labor that causes me to pause. Fortunately the bumper wasn't damaged as it hit a Ford F150 and the bumper was spared :)

I have shopped around and several shops advised me to look for a "Mom & Pop" body shop as they would be very expensive...I am paying cash not using insurance...I found a shop that looks reliable from online reviews [and in person visit] that will do the replacement for $950 -- which I am beginning to think is probably the best I can hope for.
