oil leak

can you tell if the drain plug has it's gasket...some oil change "experts" leave that out by mistake~...the oil pan usually will not leak if the bolts are tightened correctly...they are fussy and if overtightened will leak~ there is a possibility the underside struck an object and caused the pan to bend and the leak to begin~ please examine the area...and possibly use a bit of tissue paper to pinpoint the source~...and report back~
It's not the drain plug it's like 8 inches to the right.
Try and look up and find the source. I would guess a leaking valve cover gasket.
How much u think it will cost me fix?
Every thing labor an parts
Nothing on a BMW is cheap to fix. Get quotes from your dealer and a good independent BMW shop.

Would you recommend any other gasket or so to change since I am going to change the value cover gasket.
apparently either a mechanic overtorqued the gaskets, seems like physical damage was done to the pan~ if you are drippin' oil from the VC gaskets, change them...do not overtorque them~....there may be a little "sweating" of the oil, but it isn't like this is where you are eating breakfast...has to go from ambient temperature to engine hot with every use...so that is why those gaskets are there~ super fussy...this is another JOB altogether~
It's not the oil pan it's the v c g dripping a little oil nothing on the drive way .
Thanks for all the good advice.
