Can I Bypass The Flex Fuel To Where It Does Not Shut Off 2 Cylinders. I Want The Full 8 At All Times.

i dont think you know what flex fuel means. The only way to bypass the active fuel management "or displacement on demand" is to get a tuned ecu that doesnt have it. But I have to ask, why would you want that?
flex fuel means you can run both regular gas and E85. it has nothing to do with cylinder deactivation.
E85 Is 85% Ethanol fuel its suppose to be more Environmentally friendly. But you can get up to a 30% decrease in your fuel economy that takes away all the advantage to buying cheaper ethanol fuel. And Ethanol runs dirty from what my fellow Silverado drivers have informed me. I have drove my 2008 1500 4X4 on highway to little or no trails for the past 56,000 miles. and have never noticed if the active fuel management was on or not. I did try Running E85 and my fuel economy was completely terrible on highway or in town. and took 3 full fill ups to come back. Its another one of Al Gores unicorns. I would just leave your truck stock it will last you longer that way.
its a 800 dollar retail item
