found a rubber splined tube on passenger floor board. heating vents are not switching to defrost or front vents. how do I access this and see if this is whats causeing the issue?

I didn't even have to replace part...just rotated center spindle quarter way and knocking stopped, vents change now...don't know what that rubber is but all works like it should....thanks for the help

I have a 2006 dodge ram...I think the actuator may be going bad. Sometimes when I switch from floor to defrost it doesn't go and vice/versa. Is there any way to tell if its the actuator or not? Should that little rod move when you switch control positions? 1 Answer
