2010 GMC Sierra overheating

Morning everyone I have a GMC Sierra 1500 and
I'm having an issue with overheating that I can't
figure out, It will run at the normal operating temp
but in heavy traffic or an idle it will start to get hot,
however once I start to drive down the highway it
will cool down to the normal range. I have replaced
the Thermostat thinking that was the issuse and
still had no luck also the day after I changed the
thermostat and refilled the coolant to the fill line I
noticed it was running a little below the fill line
however I have checked and had my mechanic
check for leaks and we have found nothing any
thoughts??

I will try that today, I went to fire it up this morning and it didn't wanna fire up right away like it started then died then fired up and ran fine if that helps anyone figure out the problem
