Ford Focus Wagon stuck in Neutral even when put in drive or reverse or park? Any clue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Drove to lunch Then backed out. Shifted to drive - nope, neutral, reverse back in to spot, nope still neutral - pushed in, park - nope still neutral.

Check out shift control module located on side of transmission connected to shift cable.

We've had ours in three times for the same thing... Transmission just goes neutral. Turn the car off, open the door and turn back on and now stuck in park. Repeat process and most times it will grab gears correctly. No answer yet from Ford, hopefully third time is a charm.
