do I need throttle bodie replacements when I show no symptoms

Asked by GuruDTDMZG Jun 11, 2024 at 08:30 PM about the 2010 BMW M3 Convertible RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2010 M3 has the increased emissions light appearing on the dash,
intermittently , yet the vehicle shows none of the symptoms for a throttle body
replacement .  Is a replacement required or is it something else?? Like a
control display in the dash >>>

Do you have a throttle body code? If you do then try cleaning it first. Clear the code and run the drive time protocol. If the code returns then replace it. If you don’t have the code then the throttle body it not the problem.
