I filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and I urge everyone who is having this problem to also file a complaint. TOYOTA SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL for the rear hatch sensor/door ajar defect. Yes, this is a nuisance but more importantly, this is a safety issue. My door ajar light is on 24/7 so I never think twice that there might be a door that is actually ajar. One day I drove my son to school only to find out after we arrived that the back door wasn't shut all the way. The more complaints the NHTSA receives, the better chance there will be a recall.   https://www- odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/
