had oil change and they overfilled, how do i correct and will it cause any damage

An overfull crankcase will cause the crankshaft to dip in to the oil in the pan and whip it it to a foam like a blender. Yes it can and will cause damage. I hesitate to advise you to drive it back to where you had it done..it needs to be drained to the proper level before starting.

I had this happen to me so I went under and loosend the oil drain plug without taking it out and let some oil out until a got it down to safe level.the worst part is it was done a dealership.

agree as to not driving in this condition. If you have an oil vactube, you can snake it down the oil dipstick tube and suction the excess. Always check oil level on the level with engine warm /After removing the overage.

I had no oil leak until I had an oil change by a none Porsche mechanic it looks like he put too much oil ! Will it damage the gaskets ? Will I have more oil leaks ?
