Light on gear shift

Asked by GEEL Oct 22, 2019 at 10:29 PM about the 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L

Question type: General

I have bought a 2011 honda pilot ex-l last Oct 20,
2019 I have notice night after I bought it that there
is no light in gear shift but on the dashboard it is
fine. I went at the honda dealership day after and
they said it doesn't work that way. Just on the
dashboard.  I am confused. Is it true that there is
not light on the gearshift?

There should be a bulb on the left side of the gearshift. Remove the plastic trim and u should be able to access it from the side
