The maintenance required light doesn't always mean oil change. To find out for sure, have a shop hook it up to see what the codes are.
You probably just need to reset the oil change light.
My car next oil change remains 5000 miles. However, the dash light comes out "Maintenace Required." What should I do? Is it ok to wait until next oil change?
