Stronger lift gate piston lifters to support sound dampening material

On my 2011 Ford Edge SEL I installed sound
dampening material inside the lift gate making it
heavier so now I need stronger lift supports. Can
someone please help me solve this?

I would go directly to the lift manufacturers website and look for lifts that fit but that have a heavier rating. Amazon may also be the place to look.
