2011 HHRls is making a buzzing or whirling sound and it increases with speed. Sound seems to be coming from left front. Have replaced front wheel bearing assembly on drivers side.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This noise only happens when vehicle is moving. I know it's not a CV joint they make a clicking noise. The noise does change some when driving and turning the wheel from left to right while traveling down the road. This is why  I determined it maybe a wheel bearing. This was replaced.

Check the wheel bearing on the right side then. Sound can be elusive. Another cause for a whirling sound would be from the water pump. The impeller gets eroded away.
