Not a very common SUV ...I very rarely see them on the road, which might explain why Suzuki is pulling out of the USA. However, here's a Consumer Reports Review on the 2009 4 Cylinder Model (they didn't test the 2010 model): The Grand Vitara falls far short of the best in this class but does have its virtues. Equipped with a newly released four-cylinder engine the powertrain is sluggish, lacks refinement, and is not even economical with fuel. The ride is stiff and choppy and handling lacks agility. Despite its everyday clumsiness emergency handling is very secure. Other good points include a spacious rear seat and a long list of standard amenities. The driving experience The Suzuki dishes up a stiff, jittery ride on almost any surface. Cabin noise is constant with a mix of wind, road and engine hum. The vague steering is short on feedback and is artificially weighted. The stiff suspension keeps body roll in check. That suspension, combined with good tire grip, keeps the Grand Vitara very secure in emergency maneuvers. It posted a high speed threading our avoidance maneuver. The stability control is well integrated and keeps the Vitara to its chosen path. The 166-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder provides adequate performance but feels sluggish and lacks refinement. Expect to average just 19 mpg overall on regular fuel. The four-speed automatic shifts smoothly but doesn't downshift promptly. It does have an easy-to-use manual-override capability. Braking distances were very short on both wet and dry pavement.
