After recharging battery on my 2011 chevy cruze. I have no sound and possible short.

Asked by Keagan Feb 12, 2019 at 10:19 AM about the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After battery dying from having power on without the engine i slow trickled it
to full charge left it run for awhile i noticed my dash screen is glitching out
and i have no sound in the car(horn, radio turn signals etc). I read on here
sometime that happens after jumping so i just left it. started the next day and
got me to and from work. well then to my surprise the next morning my
batterry was fully dead. 0 amps.  Checked all fuses with my circuit checker
after charging battery and had battery and alternator checked at autozone.
they are good. im assuming i have a short because it doesnt drain if i
disconnect the battery cable. any suggestions would be great.

If the battery was dead as doorknob a lot of times you will have to got to the dealer to have the computer system reflashed or a lot of your accessories will not be activated.
