2011 Grand Cherokee Laredo heat controls

Asked by debi9876 Oct 10, 2014 at 03:18 PM about the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2011 Grand Cherokee Laredo, I set my heat controls at night so the car is warm
when I use the remote starter in a.m. but when I get in vehicle, i find that the ac turned on.
I also did a test, turned on the heat controls, ac was off and started vehicle next a.m. and
again, the ac was on.  Whats up with that?

If you have the automatic temperature controls, try taking it out of "auto" mode before turning off the vehicle.

@ GuruW8TVB I would have the charge checked on the AC system. There are high and low pressure sensors located on each circuit. If the system senses high or low charge, the AC compressor will shut off to protect itself. You can buy lower end "cheaper" gauges at the auto parts store to do this, or you can take it in to a garage and have it checked.
