2022 BMW 328i

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, we just purchased a 2011 BMW yesterday
and not even 12 hours after the purchase the
coolant warning sign came on.  After about 5 mile
after the light came on the car started to shut
down.  Could this be a major mechanical problem
we need to worry about?  Fortunately we have 60
day warranty so we are going to get the car back to
the dealership to take a look. I hope this is not
lemon car.

Yea, good thing you have a warranty. This could be a major problem, or it can be a easy fix. It just needs to be checked out.

A "Lemon" is a NEW car that has problems- any used car might have mechanical problems- especially a car that has been driven hard and not maintained- especially a BMW- well, at least they are better than Audis

Audi, BMW and Mercedes Benz are on my do not buy list when used. They sometimes can eat a hole in your wallet with all the maintenance and repair required to keep them going. NEVER BUY A USED ONE WITHOUT WARRANTY!!!
