BMW xdrive tire replacement

I have 2011 BMW 328i xdrive and I'm driving from Pennsylvania to
Tennessee. Upon stopping for the night in Virginia I discovered that I have
leaking rear tire. Is it acceptable to replace two tires on an xdrive BMW? I
don't really have the money to replace all four tires at the moment.

My experience was that I changed my wheels to a staggared setup and as I was driving home I heard clunking from the front drive near the front transfer case. I did not have tools so I slowly drove home and the clanking stopped as the xDrive dissengaged the front drive system as a precaution. The 4wd warning lights came on and said to drive it to a dealer. I got home swapped the tires back to the originals, turned the wheel all way left and all way right to reset system, no more lights and awd system worked fine. For staggared to work on xi your front to back tire diameters must be within 1%.
