Exterior Color

Asked by chrisfulks Feb 07, 2009 at 06:09 PM about the 1981 BMW 3 Series 320i Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a 1981 320i 17 or 18 years ago and I'm trying to find out how to replicate the color on an old porsche. It was between carolina blue and blue/silver. How can I find a way to match the paint?

Look up the paint codes available in 1981 for the 320i, Find the one that matches what you had. A body shop or paint dealer should be able to come up with a decent match based on the paint code.

Google around a bit I'm sure you'll find something. Or you can try a BMW forum and ask what paint codes were available that year that match your description.
