noise

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I get this buzzing sound kind of like a dryer buzzer always under 1/4 tank , but it stops when tha car slow way down to almost a stop. Then it will start up again at about 5 to 10 miles an hour. not always just once in a while. Could it be odometer or drive line, sounds like it could be a fuel filter but why would it stop at idle, fuel cap? give me a guess.

You might have to take it in for a diagnostic. I can't quite pin point what it would be. I never had that issue before. Where exactly is it coming from?

Hi Mike , I have considered the fuel pump, it is obvious it is something within the car running, is it normal with low fuel or just a going fuel pump . there are no issues with the way the car runs , it's a pistol could a partially blocked filter cause this? Thanks

Hi Robbie, So I take it that it is the High pressure fuel pump on the outside of the tank or could the tank pump make that sound, doubt it, let me know buddy and thanks for the information
