ok people where can I find the fuel pump on my car I thought it was in the tank BUT only wire goes to fuel sensor. This is a restore project for my child, I have replaced the fuel filter, drained all liquid from tank and heated it up to dry it out, this seems to be the only thing that could cause the problem of not running correctly

Under car near rear wheel. You sure it's not your fuel pressure regulator, idle control valve, or air flow meter???

on a 87 325?should be in the trunk under a cover if not under the rear seat
Actually it's under the rear seat (I was thinking of a Mercedes, they have under the car near the rear wheel) http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/f3/how-to-replace-e30-fuel-pump-t26375/ http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp137/steve23002/DSC00117.jpg
