Jump the battery and open the trunk

There is an emergency trunk release located inside the trunk. To gain access, there is a pass-through in the rear seat. Put the rear armrest down, open the pass-through, and move the release up with your fingers. The release is glow-in-the-dark. So you should have no trouble finding it using a flashlight.

Use something to stretch your reach. Even something as simple as a coat hanger might work. A better option is the tool you sometimes see someone using to pick up litter without bending over.

What dang type of engineer would design a car that does not have a key entrance? Also the same engineer designed the the car where the front bumper has to come off just to change the frigging lightbulb!!! I hate my Cadillac and just put it up for sale. It was a gift from a friend but after paying almost 600.00 to change lightbulb, I’m done.

Cadillac designers should be put into a repair shop for 2 year or more to fix the stupidly designed items that exist in my 2008 DTS. Had to remove almost the entire front of the car to replace the alternator and serpentine belt. Cost over $2000 to replace the alternator. That is not to mention the rusting brake and fuel lines under the car. What kind of morons do the designing on these cars. This car has more design screw ups than any other car I have ever owned or worked on. I can say that's 100's of cars. Robert Michaels

Why do peoel kee saying "open the pass-through, and move the release up with your fingers? Have you tried it? there is no human arm long enough to reach it. I had to use a coat hanger and use a broom handle. For the love of God stop telling folks the wrong info you can't reach it that way.
