My BMW 1992 e36 will crank but the engine will not turn over. My mechanic has checked the fuel, the spark plugs and the fuel pump are working. Mechanic thinks it's the factory alarm. Any help?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The remote has stopped working and I can only get into the car now with my key through the trunk, but as I said car will crank, but not turn over.  Need help!  I do not want to spend a lot of money on this car.

You should get a new remote since problems all started when it failed. Plus do you really want to be that girl that climbs through her trunk to get into her car? lol

Well, the remote stopped working about three months ago, but I was still able to get in with my key and start my car, even though I had to unlock the doors from the trunk. Maybe the remote will reset everything, not sure, but we'll see because I did order a new remote yesterday and it should be here today.

HELP::: did you ever find out what was wrong with your car? I’m having the same issues with my 2002 325i sedan.
