WHY WHEN I TAKE OFF IT RUNS FINE BUT AS SOON AS I COME TO A STOP THEN PRESS GASS BUT MY CAR WONT MOVE UNTIL THE MPH GAGE GOES BACK DOWN

This vehicle must have a automatic transmission in it. I am confused a little here so you start to drive after starting the car and come to a stop the vehicle will know go until the MPH gauge goes back to 0? Is this the MPH gauge or the tachometer that you are waiting to go back down? Does the engine rev up when you put the gas down? Are you stopped while waiting for the mph gauge to go down?
