Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just got a 1994 325i and all the gauges do not work. Is this a common problem, and I was told replacing the instrument cluster would solve this, isa that true? Thanks

start by checking the fuse for the cluster before changing it

Thanks for that, but they were all fine. Found a cluster and replaced it, and got half of the gauges to work. No speedo or fuel gauge, but I have a tach and temp now. Have a check light on so im gonna see what thats about but think this cluster is bad too. Any other help would be great, Thank
