2006 cadillac sts, 3.6l engine, JL-9 brake system. right front disc brake appears to have excessive drag

Asked by whatnext May 26, 2014 at 03:16 PM about the 2006 Cadillac STS V6 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

right front disc brake was seizing, ie, rotor could not be rotated at all.  replaced rubber
hose from frame to caliper, installed remanufactured caliper(o'reilly auto parts).
connected rubber hose to caliper. opened bleeder, let gravity bleed until brake fluid
flowing thru clear tubing to container catching brake fluid. bled(pump brake  open
bleeder fitting, close bleeder fitting, etc.) right front with person in car operating brake
pedal with engine off. started engine, repeat bleeding process.  brake pedal fair.  BUT,
right front caliper has excessive drag(3 times+- more drag) than left front caliper.  BUT,
right front caliper does not seize anymore.

are you sure that's it's the brake? wheels have bearings too.

Yes I'm pretty much more than sore it is not the wheel bearing I am a car guy and you know the signs of when the wheel bearings are going bad and they are not that old at all the code that comes up says ABS no communication I'm wondering why this is not communicating
